Air Touch draws inspiration from traditional Chinese landscape paintings, where the filter element is presented as a sky with a background of serene landscapes. As the air purifier works its magic, the absorbed particulate matter gradually turns the filter element grey, resembling a fading landscape in a dusky sky. This unique visualization allows users to observe the changes in the filter element in a more bright and direct way, creating a sense of connection between the purification process and the beauty of nature.
What sets Air Touch apart from other air purifiers is its ability to combine functionality with aesthetics. The filter element, which is usually plain and utilitarian, is transformed into a decorative element that adds a touch of elegance to any space. By integrating art and technology, Air Touch not only improves air quality but also enhances the overall ambiance of a room.
Technologically advanced, Air Touch utilizes a three-stage filtration system to effectively remove airborne pollutants. The first stage consists of a pre-filter that captures larger dust particles, hair, and pollen. The second stage features a high-quality HEPA filter that filters out finer dust particles, including PM2.5 pollutants. Finally, the air passes through an activated carbon filter that removes harmful chemicals, microbes, and volatile organic compounds.
With its sleek design and compact size, Air Touch is suitable for various spaces, from bedrooms to living rooms. It operates quietly, with noise levels ranging from 46 to 60 dB, ensuring a peaceful and undisturbed environment. The filter life can last up to 3000 hours, and the DIY (Do It Yourself) filter design eliminates the need for service engineer visits, making maintenance hassle-free.
Air Touch has been designed with user convenience in mind. The washable pre-filter can be easily cleaned with water, ensuring optimal performance. The air purifier also features a real-time PM2.5 meter, providing users with accurate information about air quality. By using Air Touch after cooking or with closed windows, users can effectively remove unwanted gases and enhance the lifespan of the air filter.
The Air Touch project, led by designer Sijin Jiang and his team, started in October 2016 in Guangdong and was completed in August 2017. It was exhibited at DGUT GTCIST ID Dept. in October 2017, garnering attention and acclaim for its innovative approach to air purification.
Recognizing its excellence, Air Touch was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Home Appliances Design category in 2018. This prestigious award is given to well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. Air Touch's integration of art, technology, and functionality has contributed to a better world by providing clean and visually captivating air purification.
Air pollution is a global issue that requires innovative solutions. Air Touch not only addresses the problem of air pollution but also elevates the air purification process to an art form. By combining the beauty of traditional Chinese landscape paintings with advanced filtration technology, Air Touch offers a unique and visually engaging way to improve air quality in our homes and spaces.
